All,

See the note on the artist talk this Thursday at 5:30pm. I offer extra credit points (up to 4 per student per semester) if you write a review on exhibitions and/or gallery talks by artists. This particular exhibition is incredibly thought-provoking with regard to social media which is very "photographic" indeed!

Please join us this Thursday, September 10 th , at 5:30 pm for an artist talk and reception by artist Liz Wierzbicki.

Artist Talk & Reception
Thursday, September 10 th , 5:30 pm
Patti and Rusty Rueff Galleries (East)

Indiana-based artist Liz Weirzbicki’s work is affected by cultural ideals of femininity, sexual freedom, and a personal desire for an emotional connection to the environment. Wierzbicki creates sculptures, prints, and videos that explore the interactions and disaffections of our emotions, the body, intimacy, and the sensory experiences we share with our world. The work shown in “becoming attraction” specifically examines these ideas in relation to contemporary mating rituals and dating practices.

Liz Wierzbicki is currently based in Indianapolis and taught for us last semester (Spring 2015). You can find out more about her work here:http://lizwierzbicki.com/home.html
